Will AI Affect my Future Job?

#1: How is AI going to affect my major?

I think AI will have a great effect on the majority of social media majors, mostly because AI has already undertaken aspects of social media and content creation and humans will continue to expand artificial intelligence. Social media is also already being affected by AI photos, videos, and fake news. In terms of social media and digital communication, artificial intelligence will affect that major becaue as AI advances, other aspects of the digital world advances as well, such as agentic, physical, and sovereign AI, which is AI with 2x more data.

#2: How is AI going to affect the career field I have chosen (social media marketing)?

As AI advances, so will social media. Across social media platforms, like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat, we see that AI is getting realistic, which then confuses people if the content is AI or not. I believe this is one way AI can affect the career field I have chosen. On the other hand, I think AI is going to make social media marketing incredibly easier to navigate with social media management, copy editing, and marketing; all elements of social media that are currently getting used by AI. In the design field of social media, I believe humans have a creative brain that AI is incapable of replicating, such as curiosity, teamwork, storytelling, with the ability to persuade and communicate.

#3: How is AI going to affect the hopes and dreams I had when coming to HPU?

By the time I came to HPU,  AI had already existed. It may help me do things more affectively now because of the increased growing throughout the years, but I don't believe AI will have a huge affect, but that I can still work in the social media marketing world.

Going deeper into the fact of what we can come up with, like human creativity,  AI will never be able to replicate human creativity, unless humans somehow figure out what makes the actual human brain produce original, creative thoughts.  I'm worried that there are less jobs available due to AI but I think AI is used more as a tool than to be replaced by a job.

Searching for jobs can get difficult after graduation, especially with new technology rising and taking over human jobs. That makes me worry because AI might make it more difficult for me to find a job after graduation. However, I still don't think it will replace my job entirely because I have skills like creativity and curiosity that AI doesn't have.
